Step 2: Book Your Biometric Appointment
Once you hold a Tracking ID, schedule an appointment slot to visit our physical application center in Dhaka or Chittagong.
A prior scheduled slot is mandatory to gain entry. Walk-in slots are strictly limited to verified emergencies.

Select your processing timing inside our secure reservation database.
Step 3: Capture Biometric Fingerprints
Arrive at the VFS Global center 15 minutes before your scheduled timing. Bring your original passport and payment slips.
Our staff will perform a completeness check and direct you to the secure biometric capture booth.
- Present pre-registered Tracking ID and Passport.
- Capture high-quality 10-digit fingerprint records.
- Obtain digital passport-size visual records.
Secure Biometric Captures
Fingerprints and visual metrics are recorded in an encrypted vault format.
Step 4: Sovereign Embassy Processing
VFS Global securely transmits your passport and biometric credentials to the diplomatic mission on the following business day.
The embassy reviews document credentials and makes a final decision. VFS plays no role in visa approvals.
- Tracking engine updates live to 'Sent to Embassy' state.
- Embassy conducts internal document checks.
- Visa printing and decision envelope packaging occur.
Embassy Consular Review
Passports are stored inside the diplomatic archives during status assessments.
Step 5: Document Envelope Collection
Once the tracking dashboard reads 'Ready for Collection', retrieve your decision envelope.
You can pick up passports in person from the application center or request secure courier dispatch to your location.
- Present the original VFS receipt and government ID.
- Inspect package seals before opening.
- Optional courier delivery handles door-step drop-offs.

Packages are dispatched under strict tracking guidelines.

Our unified online tracking portal displays nine precise processing milestones. Input your Tracking ID to view exactly where your document stands.
1. Applied / Application Registered
Candidate passport and demographic values are pre-registered on the central database.
2. Biometric Collection Complete
Fingerprints and digital visual records are captured inside the VFS secure booth.
3. Sent to Embassy
Passport package and biometric uploads are dispatched to the destination diplomatic office.
4. Received by Embassy
Embassy consular staff receives and catalogs the document file under visa queues.
5. Under Processing
Embassy officers evaluate credentials, verify background metrics, and review applications.
6. Visa Printed / Decision Envelope Dispatched
Final visa values are printed, and the secure package is sealed for dispatch.
7. Sent to VFS Hub
Embassy dispatch transfers the passport packages back to the local VFS sorting hub.
8. Ready for Collection
The passport package is logged, sorted, and ready for candidates to retrieve.
9. Delivered
The sealed passport envelope is collected by the applicant or handed to courier dispatch.
