Important notice regarding terms, conditions, liability, fees, and operations. Please review all details prior to application submission.

Introduction & Operational Boundaries

VFS Global is an outsourced partner of the client Embassy. VFS Global is responsible for scheduling appointments, acceptance of applications, acceptance of visa and logistic fees, submission of applications at the Embassy and returning the passport back to the applicant/s.

It must be noted that the grant or refusal of a visa is at the sole discretion of the Embassy and VFS Global is neither involved in the process nor is liable or responsible in any manner whatsoever for any delay in processing or grant or rejection of the visa application of any applicant by the Embassy, which reserves the right to ask for further documentation and to refuse the visa application.

VFS Global takes every reasonable precaution while handling the documents of the applicant/s and shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever to the applicant/s for any documents which are lost in transit by accident, theft, natural calamities (act of god) or any other reason outside the control of, or not arising out of a willful default of VFS Global and also if documents are hand over directly to the applicant/s.

Delivery Services & Courier Limits

The applicant/s agrees and accepts that the courier acceptance and delivery service through which the documents are returned to the applicant/s by VFS Global is operated by a third-party vendor. VFS Global does not control or operate any courier company, neither does it control or operate any facility or service provided by the courier company. VFS Global disclaims any and all liability for any loss or damage caused to the applicant/s in the event that his/her documents are delayed/ misplaced/ lost/ damaged by the courier company, whether such delay/ misplacement/ loss/ damage result from negligence, accident or any other cause.

In no event shall VFS Global and/or its representatives be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages or any damages whatsoever due to such delay/ misplacement/ loss/ damage of the documents, including the Applicant’s passport. Without prejudice to the aforesaid, VFS Global’s and/or its representatives sole and exclusive liability in case a passport is lost or damaged in transit, is limited/restricted to the reimbursement of the amount of fees charged by the Embassy, for the replacement of a lost / damaged passport through normal application procedure and shall assist the applicant in the replacement of the lost visas. Such reimbursement of the fee amount will be made by VFS Global to the applicant/s only on the presentation by the applicant/s of the payment receipt issued by the Embassy. The applicant/s agrees that the foregoing limitation of liability is an agreed allocation of risk between the parties and this limitation of liability is and shall be an integral part of this disclaimer.

VFS Global or any of its officers, director, employees, agents etc. shall have no any responsibility and/or liability of any nature, for any reason whatsoever for any delays, or for loss of or damage to any visa application, passport or other documents, caused by, or occurring whilst any application, passport or document is in the possession of, any third party postal or courier service, including, during the process of transportation of visa applications, passport or other documents between VFS Global and the Embassy and when being returned by VFS Global to the visa applicant/s.

Service Charges & Refund Policy

Negotiable Instruments wherever applicable are subject to realization. The service charges once received by VFS Global from the applicant/s vide demand drafts will not be refundable under any circumstances, irrespective of whether or not the desired visa is granted by the Embassy.

Advertising Material & Solicitation

Advertising material may accompany the relevant documents at the time they are returned to the applicant/s. If the applicant/s does not wish to receive any such advertising material along with the relevant documents, the applicant/s must intimate the VFS Global in advance at the time of submitting the documents.

Terms of Variation & Amendment

VFS Global, in its sole discretion, may change, amend, cancel or withdraw any or all of the terms and conditions mentioned herein at any time without any prior notice. No employee of VFS Global has any authority whatsoever to change / amend / amplify or withdraw any or all of the terms and conditions mentioned herein without the prior written approval of VFS Global.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the country of operation. Any claims or disputes arising in relation to the services provided by VFS Global to the applicant shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the country of operation.

Explicit Acceptance of Terms

The applicant hereby accepts and confirms that the applicant and/or his/her representative, prior to submitting the visa application, has read, understood and agreed to be bound by, without limitation or qualification, all of the terms, conditions and details provided herein.

Supplementary: Force Majeure Clauses

Neither VFS Global nor any of its collaborative governmental partners or client embassies shall be held legally responsible, penalized, or deemed in default for any delays, processing stoppages, logistics breakdowns, or complete service failures arising directly or indirectly from acts of God, global force majeure events, or occurrences wholly outside of VFS Global's direct operational control.

These non-actionable force majeure occurrences include, but are not limited to, the following high-risk events:

  • Natural Calamities: Massive earthquakes, devastating tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, physical landscape shifts, heavy flooding, hurricanes, typhoons, severe winter storms, and secondary environmental crises.
  • Public Disturbances: Active wars, military skirmishes, territorial invasions, violent coups, civic rebellions, active riots, large-scale domestic strikes, lockouts, labor disputes, general industry blockades, and coordinated terrorist attacks.
  • Administrative Restraints: Sudden borders closures, regional flight bans, severe lockdown mandates, unexpected governmental decrees, consular suspension policies, and immediate legal shutdowns of international facilities.
  • Infrastructure Outages: National power grid shutdowns, subsea internet cable cuts, localized server failures, global cloud hosting blackouts, satellite malfunctions, and high-frequency communication system drops.

In the event of a force majeure occurrence, VFS Global's active operations may be temporarily suspended without penalty, and applicants' processing timelines will be extended accordingly. VFS Global will take all reasonable operational steps to protect documentation and restore services as soon as safely viable.

Supplementary: Data Security & Transmission

Applicants are hereby notified that personal information, biological identifiers, contact data, physical location records, and official documents submitted through this platform will be digitized and securely transmitted to the client Embassy. VFS Global utilizes advanced encryption layers (including SSL/TLS protocols) to safeguard all data blocks while in transit over local networks.

However, the applicant recognizes that the transmission of data over the public internet, digital routers, third-party internet service provider pathways, and wireless networks is never entirely immune to unauthorized interception. VFS Global disclaims all liability for data breaches, malicious surveillance, cyber attacks, server breaches, or electronic intercepts that occur outside our primary firewalls or prior to the data's successful ingestion into VFS Global's central secure servers.

Applicants are advised to manage their tracking keys, application references, password characters, and biometric receipts with utmost secrecy. VFS Global will never request sensitive system passwords, tracking codes, or personal payment authorization keys via email, SMS, or unsolicited phone calls.

Supplementary: Indemnity & Hold Harmless

By submitting a visa or passport application through this website, you agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and fully defend VFS Global, its corporate parent entities, its regional directors, its board of trustees, its operational employees, its agents, and its logistics partners against any and all legal actions, third-party liabilities, financial losses, regulatory fines, structural damages, and court costs arising out of:

  • Your submission of inaccurate, forged, altered, expired, or fraudulent identity records.
  • Any direct breaches of these terms and conditions, privacy codes, or operational guidelines.
  • Acts of negligence or willful misconduct performed by your representatives, travel agents, or legal counsel.
  • False declarations of urgency or emergency processing without legitimate and verifiable hospital or municipal backing.

Supplementary: Severability & Non-Waiver

If any specific provision, sentence, clause, sub-clause, word, or paragraph of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid, void, unlawful, or legally unenforceable by a municipal court, national regulatory body, or international arbitration tribunal of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining parts of this disclaimer.

The remaining clauses, terms, and specifications shall continue to operate in full legal force and effect. VFS Global's failure to assert, prosecute, or enforce any provision or right under these terms shall not be interpreted as a legal waiver of such rights. All waivers must be issued explicitly in writing by our corporate legal department to be considered active.

Supplementary: Online Systems Availability

VFS Global maintains multiple online platforms, databases, payment gateways, and scheduler applications to ensure high availability for applicant convenience. However, VFS Global does not guarantee that the portal, services, or online tracking features will remain completely uninterrupted, perpetually accessible, secure, or free from data transmission lags or virus infections.

Planned service windows, emergency server updates, database sync routines, and security hardening patches may require immediate site shutdown without prior notice. VFS Global disclaims any liability for application delays, missed appointment booking windows, or payment failures caused by technical system drops, database crashes, server failures, or subsea network interruptions.

Supplementary: Critical Fraud Warnings

⚠️ WARNING TO ALL APPLICANTS: UNAUTHORIZED AGENTS AND FEE SOLICITATION

VFS Global does not operate in partnership with, nor does it authorize or validate, any freelance travel agents, independent consultants, third-party visa agencies, visa brokers, or external individuals who promise visa guarantees, fast-track embassy processing, or reserved priority appointment slots.

All official visa appointments must be booked directly through the VFS Global secure online system. Payments must be processed through the authorized payment gateways listed on this website. VFS Global assumes absolutely no liability for cash payments, credential sharing, passport handouts, or personal information disclosures made to unauthorized third parties or entities.

Should you be approached by any individual or agency claiming to represent VFS Global and offering visa guarantees or expedited processing in exchange for cash or bank transfers, please report the details immediately to our dedicated global compliance and anti-fraud department at compliance-fraud@vfsglobal.com.

Third-Party Vendor Independent businesses contracted by VFS Global to perform secondary tasks, primarily including postal delivery, bank fee collection, and SMS notifications.
Service Charges The administrative fee charged by VFS Global to cover processing logistics, biometric enrollment, queue management, data encryption, and center security.

Dynamic Disclaimer FAQ

Q1: Can VFS Global staff expedite my visa processing?

Absolutely not. No employee of VFS Global, center manager, security staff, or hotline executive has any authority, influence, or capability to speed up or change visa processing timelines. All timelines are determined entirely by the client Embassy.

Q2: What happens if my courier return is delayed?

All courier services are operated by independent third-party vendors. VFS Global does not control or operate any courier facility. In the event of delays, please contact the courier company using the tracking code provided on your receipt. VFS Global disclaims all liability for courier service drops.

Q3: Are my service charges refundable if my visa is rejected?

No. Service fees cover the administrative cost of receiving, checking, digitizing, and securely transporting your application to the Embassy. Once these logistics processes commence, the fee is non-refundable, irrespective of the Embassy's decision.
